Design Intent & Problem Solved
This is a significant improvement over Seed/Sand Mesh Washer (Or what I titled "Ultra Performance Unclog-able Seed Washer" in this site). I decided to call this design filter-drive because the active part (Where the water touches the materials) that handles washing consists only of filter with no empty space. This filter configuration fundamentally function the same as the mesh design but theoretically has double the efficiency because it has double the contact area. The cool thing about this design is that can also support sand as well, using exactly the same design, although it can handle less sand due to the sand doubling. The exact blueprint being submitted in this post is the 3x1 submodule design. It can handle 58 seed/s, good enough for standard play-through. The larger one, like 7x2 submodule design presented in the analysis can handle 224 seed/s. I haven't find what's the maximum possible Ax1 submodule design, yet. Note that in each build presented in the efficiency report, the throughput used may not be the maximum possible. In some tests, they can handle more. I guess this possibly due to performance variations. Safe Placement & Cold-Start Checklist
- Place the module in open space with 2-block perimeter clearance before connecting production lines.
- Confirm research prerequisites, conveyor speed match, and liquid drop-pipe heights.
- Leave an inspection gap so any blocked Shaker or mineral slurry overflow can be drained safely.
- Verify power grid capacity satisfies the initial startup spike before feeding raw ore.
